03.25.2004 -- 03.28.2004: 6th Annual Miami Fitness Festival, featuring Louis Zwick's Fitness America Pageant shows: The Fitness South Beach Pageant and Ms. Bikini South Beach. Holly Wilbur came edged all comeptitors out for the Fitness Crown and Jennifer-Tedford Zuba snagged the Bikini title.

Feb. 2004: Fitness expert and established health & fitness industry writer Lara McGlashan hits mainstream!!
Lara's 4 page article, 'The Cheater's Guide to Cardio,' is published in Self's Feb. 2004 issue. It is a huge step in the right direction for her writing plus paving the way for other freelances, such as myself, struggling for mainstream recognition.

02.27.2004: Poster Girl, Heather Glenn is looking busy for 2004. Here are some updates she wanted to share:

She, Mary Beth Gonzales and Kristi Dowler have started a women's only boot camp in the San Francisco Bay Area. Says Heather, "Since we really enjoy all of the outdoor athletic training as we prepare for our obstacle course events, we thought we would offer this same type of fitness training (and mini OC camps) to other women, regardless of whether their goals are only to lose body fat and get fit as opposed to entering a competition." www.bayareabootcamp.com.

Heather also belongs to a Northern California Fitness Competitors team called MC F.I.T. Works (named after NPC competitor Monica Chang who is the founder of the group). The team meets monthly to share competition tips and support each other. Says Heather, "We have competitors from many leagues including Fitness America, NPC, WTF, Nova, etc."

Lastly, but not least, Heather is planning to compete in her first Fitness America event to be held in Dallas during May.
